Well, well. Turns out Liz Cheney and the J6 committee lied about Trump offering National Guard troops on Jan 4th and 5th. They hid the testimony that would confirm what Trump and his cabinet told us back then. No media followed up to confirm Trump's story. Instead, they covered it up.
The DC mayor and Nancy Pelosi turned the troops down until the first person entered the Capital on Jan 6th at around 2:30 pm. The Capital Police chief actually asked for the troops the first time before 1:00 pm. He saw what was happening. He asked 3 times before 2:30 pm and was turned down. National Guard troops are regular citizens with jobs and cannot be called up on the spur of the moment. It is amazing that they were able to get from their jobs and made it there in an hour and a half.
